MICRO WEAR | FRICTION TESTING

Retrofitted on Platform or Compact Base, the Micro Module during Micro Wear Mode uses precision high load wear capability especially critical for industries using thicker coatings and substrates. Preformed using linear reciprocating or Pin-on-Disk when a rotation table is combined with the mechanical base. Micro Wear Friction Testing is ideal for an endless range of applications..
Micro Wear Process:
A pin or a ball is loaded onto a test sample with a stable weight with feedback control. Wear rates for the pin and the disk are calculated from the volume of material lost during the test. Controlled atmosphere, liquid and temperature can be varied at the test point. Linear mode is possible with the standard x-y motorized table while the pin-on-disk test requires the rotation table upgrade. Friction is measured with LDTV for linear mode and a change of torque for rotation mode.
Properties Analyzed During Micro Wear:
• Friction Coefficient • Wear Rates and others
