Introduction to the Nanovea Digital Microhardness Tester

The Nanovea Digital Microhardness tester allows precise measurement of Vickers, Knoop and Brinell micro-hardness of a variety of materials including plating. Once the load is chosen the test is performed automatically including loading, holding and releasing. After the test the turret switch the indenter for the optical microscope. The repositioning accuracy is < 0.5micron. In the standard system the indent dimensions are accurately measured by locating two cross hairs, seen in the eyepiece, on each side of the indent. The LCD display will automatically indicate the hardness value in either Vickers, Knoop or Brinell scale.

The Nanovea Digital Microhardness Tester can also be fully equipped with x-y motorized table and an auto-reading device with computer which allows mapping and measurement with very little operator action required and which virtually eliminate any operator errors.
