Introduction to the Nanovea Vickers Hardness Tester

The Nanovea Vickers Hardness Tester has been designed for accurate hardness measurement of a variety of materials. The test process is user-friendly. Simply select the desired load and pause time. After pressing start, the load is automatically applied and removed resulting in an indent. The turret automatically switches from indenter position to the objective for observation. The repositioning accuracy is < 0.5micron.

A micrometer with 0.1micron increments is used to quickly selects the size of the indent. The hardness is calculated automatically and presented on the digital display. The full procedure takes less than 5 minutes.
